History of Indian women's cricket//भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट का इतिहास-


 

• Cricket in India came with the rule of British invasion. Please tell that the first cricket match was played in India in the year 1721. After which in 1884, the Paris community established the first cricket cricket club in Bombay, although till then cricket was limited to men's game only.


• Subsequently, during the 20th century, Anne kelleway , a teacher from Australia, came to teach children at the Baker memorial school in Kottayam, Kerala, where she made women's cricket compulsory. After some time, the craze of women's cricket was seen among the common people. Indian women also started turning towards cricket. Indian women's cricket game started from the year 1973 and with this the Indian women's cricket association was established.


FIRST INDIAN WOMAN CAPTAIN...

• Very few of you would know who was the first captain of the Indian women's cricket team. Let us tell you that the name of Indian's first female cricket captain was Shantha Rangaswamy, who tried to take the Indian women's cricket team to a different level.

• For The First Time in the year 1976 , the women's cricket team was selected this team was selected to play the test series against the west indies. At that time Shanta was in the role of all-rounder player in the Indian cricket team. Due to Shanta strong bowling and team coordination, india won its first test series. Shanta Rangaswamy captained the Indian team in a total of 12 test matches and 16 ODIs where he led the team to spectacular victories on several occasions.

• Since then, there has been a lot of change in the Indian women's cricket team with time now the Indian cricket team has become one of the strongest women's cricket team in the world. Best  player like captain mithali Raj, jhulan goswami, anjum Chopra, Harman Preet Kaur, shikha Pandey, ekhta bist and smriti mandhana will take the team next level.
